This document provides a quick and easy overview of which Sugar editions include the Sugar Mobile Plus application, where to purchase Sugar Mobile Plus subscriptions or add-ons, pre-requisites for Sugar Mobile Plus activation, how to activate the Sugar Mobile Plus application, and trouble-shooting tips.
Which editions of SugarCRM include the Sugar Mobile Plus application?
Sugar Mobile Plus is available with Sugar Corporate, Sugar Enterprise, and Sugar Ultimate subscriptions. Sugar Mobile Plus is also available as an add-on option for Sugar Professional.
Where can I buy the Sugar Mobile Plus application?

What do I need to do, as an administrator, to activate the Sugar Mobile Plus client?
You do not need to activate the Sugar Mobile Plus server. This is done by SugarCRM. However, there are a few tasks that you need to perform to activate the Sugar Mobile Plus client, as listed below:

Open the email that you have received from your SugarCRM Support Representative or from the SugarCRM orders system regarding your Sugar Mobile Plus Server.

Click the link in the email that looks similar to:

http://us1.sugarmobileplus.com/customer
This navigates you to the Sugar Mobile Plus Server login page.
Note: The URL included in this step is a sample and does not link to a web page.

Log into the Sugar Mobile Plus Server using your Sugar credentials.
|
|
4.
|
Click the Administrator link in the left hand navigation bar.
|
|
5.
|
Click the Global Settings link located under the Administrator link.
|
This opens the Global Settings page.
Input data using the information in the table below:

Verify that it is populated with the correct value.
This field is pre-populated for On-Demand customers and is of the following format:
https://customer.sugarondemand.com/soap.php
Note: It is important to include soap.php in the URL since Sugar Mobile Plus uses Sugar’s SOAP API to communicate with the Sugar Mobile Plus Server.

Login name

Specify a Login name and Password of an account in your SugarCRM instance that has administrator or global-read privileges.
This username and password combination is used to sync data between your SugarCRM instance and the Sugar Mobile Plus server.

Click the Test connection to crm link.
|
This should return Success. If it returns Fail, you have entered either the URL or the username and password incorrectly.
|

Click the Update button at the bottom of the page to save your settings.
|
|

Click the KeyWords link on the left hand navigation bar.
|
This opens the KeyWords page.
Click the Read from CRM button located at the bottom of the KeyWords page.
This creates a communication between your Sugar instance and the Sugar Mobile Plus Server – it pulls all the available fields (also known as KeyWords from the Sugar instance and stores them on the Sugar Mobile Plus server.
What do I need to do, as an end-user, before activating the Sugar Mobile Plus client?
You need to download the Sugar Mobile Plus client.

3. Choose the appropriate client (iPhone or iPad).

What do I need to do, as an end-user, to activate the Sugar Mobile Plus client?

Select the Sugar Mobile Plus client on your device.
|
This opens an activation screen.

Enter the On-Demand Instance name that was provided to you as part of your activation e-mail

Do not enter http:// or https:// in this field.
For example, if your On-Demand Instance name is https://customer.sugarondemand.com, enter customer.sugarondemand.com.
You need to populate this field even if you are an On-Site customer.

Enter an e-mail address that identifies you as the user
|
This does not need to be your exact e-mail address in your SugarCRM system.
You will need to enter a different e-mail address for each client you use. This is your unique identifier in the Sugar Mobile Plus system.
For example, if you activate your iPhone with me@customer.com, you will have to enter something similar to me2@customer.com, to activate your iPad.

If your Mobile Plus Server is correctly configured, you will be guided through the activation process, which takes a few minutes, and be prompted for a username and password.
|

Enter your username and password that you use to log into your SugarCRM web interface for your SugarCRM instance.
|
What are some of the common error messages displayed during the activation process?
Mobile Plus Subscription Not Found or Mobile Plus Server Not Found
This error message displays when of the following occurs:

User error: On-Demand Instance name includes https://, http://, // or was input incorrectly (wrong spelling)
|
|
•
|
SugarCRM error: User subscription is set up incorrectly in the SugarCRM license server. Please contact SugarCRM.com Support to resolve this.
